UGA Advising Program Plans

A list of advisor-suggested activities, curated by major, to help students get involved, learn more about culture, focus on well-being, get career-ready and be a well-rounded student.

My role:

  • Created a Canva template for every major (100+). Gathered student input to decide on a vertical check list, broken up into bite-sized sections, with one page per year of college.

  • Advisors provided the content, which my team customized for every major

  • Created portals for all documents, which are arranged by school and college.

In addition to academic milestones, these major-specific plans showcase opportunities for students to get involved and make the most of their campus experience. Most activities are optional but give students a good idea of the resources they have access to at UGA, from the Career Center to Health Center, departmental listservs to ambassador programs.

About the plans

These plans were created through an Office of Instruction partnership with the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of Global Engagement, the Career Center, and advisors around campus with the goal of helping students make progress toward important goals and maximize their time at UGA.

  • There is a unique plan for every major

  • The plans are vertical, for printing and mobile format

  • There are four pages to each plan, one for each year

  •  Each category should have around five action items, so that students don’t feel overwhelmed

• We’ve tried to reinforce that these are suggestions, not required tasks

Each school and college has its own digital portal linked at the top of the main portal.

  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
